What are the repair methods for 18650 batteries.


What are the benefits of 18650 lithium batteries with protective plates? Currently, many small devices use 18650 batteries, which leads to fierce competition. Some manufacturers produce lithium batteries with poor performance and often face equipment failures. So what are the methods for restoring 18650 lithium batteries after equipment failure?

1. The method for restoring rust on the outer layer of 18650 batteries: The metal surface of batteries selected for a long time will undergo significant oxidation, leading to rust on the lithium battery electrodes and poor contact between the lithium battery and the electrical equipment wires, resulting in a shorter battery life. Rubber brown or certain cleaning products can be used to remove the rust material on the outer layer, reducing the resistance of the circuit system and improving conductivity.


2. Cold hot alternation method for restoring 18650 batteries: Low temperature can cause changes in the lithium phosphate inside the battery, enhancing the thermochemical reaction of lithium batteries that have just begun to freeze. The selection stage of batteries is actually a lithium battery charging stage. During this period, the negative and positive charges in 18650 lithium batteries collided with each other. The reason why lithium batteries are becoming increasingly useless is that at normal room temperature, the kinetic energy inside electrons is very high, so lithium batteries are in an active state, and leakage is relatively frequent. When the battery is placed in a low-temperature environment, the microstructure of the lithium film and lithium phosphate on the outer layer of the battery, including their boundary layers, will undergo significant changes, resulting in temporary inactivity inside the lithium battery and a reduction in short-circuit current. So after recharging, the number of battery cycles can be greatly restored.


The cycle life of 18650 batteries is about 600 times. If charged multiple times, the thermal motion of molecules will gradually damage the microstructure of the molecular arrangement inside, and the efficiency of storing charges will gradually decrease. The freezing stage is prone to damaging the original internal structure of lithium batteries, which may increase the ability to charge in a short period of time, but long-term use may not be effective. Once the microstructure inside 18650 batteries is damaged, it is not realistic to restore it, and long-term use of this method will accelerate the damage of lithium batteries.


3. Intensity discharge method for restoring lithium batteries: Starting the intensity discharge of a mobile phone, only by smoothly consuming the energy inside, can it be recharged to a deeper level, which requires the use of partially controllable methods. Find a way to connect the 18650 lithium battery to a 1.5V small light bulb, and the energy inside the battery will be sent to the small light bulb until it is fully discharged. Lithium batteries need to smoothly consume energy bit by bit through lower voltages. After discharging, use the newly charged lithium battery for a longer period of time.


4. The method of high-voltage charging to restore lithium batteries: Use a high-voltage charging wire (5V, 300MA) to charge the battery for 5 minutes. The charging wire can be a fast charging charger or charging head, but cannot be a Wanneng charging wire. The main reason is to recognize the voltage of the Wanneng charging wire. After 5 minutes, retest the battery voltage V, and if the voltage rises to 1V, continue charging (measure the voltage every 5 minutes). Charge to 3V, sorry! Your lithium battery can now be charged using Wan Neng charging, which will recognize your lithium battery.


When you successfully pass these methods, even if your lithium battery fails to recover a significant selection effect, it will be difficult. 18650 batteries are already irreversibly damaged, so you can directly replace the battery. Polymer battery explosion or blasting can also cause it. The Samsung phone battery explosion caused a few years ago, and the speculation this year that General Motors is recalling laptops due to insufficient polymer batteries, are both in the same situation.


4. Current intensity
The common 18650 battery capacity can maintain around 2200mAh, and according to statistics, the current intensity is about 500Wh/L, while the current intensity of polymer batteries currently produces nearly 600Wh/L.


5. Voltage and current of polymer batteries

Therefore, the application of polymer materials in polymer batteries allows for the production of multiple layers that can meet high voltage requirements. The nominal capacity of lithium battery cells is 3.6V. To meet high voltage requirements in practical applications, it is necessary to connect many polymer batteries in parallel to form an ideal high-voltage work management system.
From here, it can be seen that which is better, polymer or polymer battery, as if polymer dominates. But some of them are appropriate, and there must be an irreplaceable aspect between them in different places.
