The assembly method of 18650 batteries should be based on the battery structure. Different lithium battery pack structures have different methods for PACK assembly. Before assembling 18650 battery packs in multiple strings and parallel, attention should be paid to grouping. The battery industry believes that battery assembly is basically simple, similar to the assembly of 18650 lithium batteries in one string and one parallel. 1. The neatly arranged batteries will facilitate future maintenance and better use of standard 18650 battery trays.

2. The welding is good. The most common welding method on the market is to use a nickel welding machine for spot welding or an electric soldering iron, and the welding points are in good contact.

3. After welding, the wiring of each group of batteries must be organized clearly.

4. Be waterproof and insulated, and better cut a piece of barley paper or use asbestos material.

5. More importantly, the internal resistance of the battery before welding and the current voltage error should not exceed 0.05V! If possible, be sure to add a lithium battery specific protective plate to prevent overcharging and overdischarging. After welding, measure whether the voltage of each circuit is good.

6. After using the newly assembled battery pack for a period of time, it is necessary to group and test the voltage of the batteries.

What does 18650 lithium battery assembly mean?
18650 lithium battery assembly refers to the assembly of 18650 lithium battery PACK, which means finished product processing. The battery PACK mainly has three layers. The battery PACK system uses mechanical structure to connect numerous individual domestic batteries in series and parallel, and considers issues such as system mechanical strength, thermal management, BMS matching, etc. Its main technologies are reflected in the overall structural design, welding and processing process control, protection level, active thermal management system, etc. Currently, most PACKs in China use simple air cooling for heat dissipation, and there are active liquid cooling systems like Tesla, which relatively reduce the technical barriers of the entire PACK.

1. In the early days, battery PACK mainly referred to the processing and assembly of lithium battery packs, which was only battery assembly outsourcing (i.e. one battery factory's orders could not be completed and then sent to another factory for outsourcing, which is also a type of battery PACK). It mainly combines battery cells, battery protection plates, battery connection pieces, label paper, etc. through the battery PACK process to process them into the products that customers need; But now this kind of basic no longer exists, because the cost of batteries has risen, labor is expensive, and processing profits are low.

2. At present, battery PACK is mainly concentrated in lithium battery PACK factories, which have their own PACK structure design, PACK electronic design, and PACK production workshops. They can independently develop and design according to customer needs. After confirming the customer's PACK lithium battery customization requirements through battery solutions, battery specifications, and battery samples, the PACK production line in the PACK workshop will carry out production and processing, and the products will be shipped after passing quality inspection.

3. PCAK is the packaging of lithium batteries. Sometimes, the voltage capacity of individual cells cannot meet the needs of users, so cylindrical lithium batteries need to be combined in series or parallel. The process of combining several battery cells in series or parallel with a protective plate to form a battery pack that can meet user needs is called PCAK for lithium batteries.
